Gallery Artist Approval Gallery Show Scheduling   SImplified and streamlined in 2011, Gallery Artist Approval permits one to show in Community Galleries [details]. Once approved, Gallery Artists are asked to volunteer (Please?!) by selecting a job below, or by identifying a need, and, with approval of the volunteer coordinator, working on it. Volunteer Options:                           --- This is a DRAFT ---                            smaller jobs on top • Gallery Assistant (about 6 needed - help with moving and hanging, several hours quarterly) • CAIO Office Greeter - Many, Many needed! 12 hours per year or more. Schedule with Maxine Lyons • CAIO 1-2 volunteers to spackle and paint spots after each show, with Maxine Lyons. • Emergency Show Exhibiting artists (have 10 or more works on hand to substitute as needed) 2012 list: Pat Bevan, Carole Davis, Gene Gourley, Mary Montgomery, David Pearce. • Downtown Revitalization Committee Representative (replacing Larry Mitchell) - Attend monthly meeting and  report to the BRAA Board as necessary. • Downtown Blacksburg Inc. Representative (replacing Larry Mitchell) - Attend monthly meeting and report Tto BRAA board as needed. • Newsletter Editor (replacing Larry Mitchell) 6-10 hours each month. Larry will be glad to help in transition. • Merchant partner coordinator • Gallery Scheduler - match show requests with gallery slots • New River Art 2013 committee Forming January 2012 • awards. prospectus, juror search, juror hospitality, Scheduling, Catalog committees • Hospitality Chair  & Committee Members (meeting refreshments) Perhaps a 3 person committee to plan & divide work? • Public Relations Chair • Volunteer Coordinator - match prospective volunteers with jobs, confirm their work for Gallery Committee temporary fill-in: Leslye Bloom. • 1st Vice President (assists president, in line to become president) Temporarily Nancy Norton and Danie Janov (THANKS!) who will not be able to continue into presidency in 2013.
