What is BRAA?

The Blacksburg Regional Art Association consists of a group of artists in the  New River Valley area

The association is dedicated to the pursuit and enjoyment of art both personally and in the community. Established in 1950, the association has continued through the all-volunteer efforts of creative people of all ages and styles of art, the enthusiastic support of the community and the ever-present urge to see, create and enjoy beauty in the world around us.

Whether you're a professional artist, just a beginner, or somewhere in between, we invite you to join us

Who are the artists?

With over 100 members, the artists of the association are painters, sculptors, photographers, wood carvers and turners, glass fusers and cutters, textile weavers and quilters, multi-media maniacs,  copper artists and more. We are professionals, homemakers, retired folks and young graphic designers.  All ages and persuasions are among us and new members are always welcome.
