Opening night a huge success!
Hundreds of people came to our show at The Moss Arts Center! 64 pieces from 64 artists made the walls. 12 awards were given. Best in Show went to Abby Ketcham, Blacksburg, for her work "Birth Place." An enormous hand goes to the staff of The Moss Arts Center for their incredible support of the exhibition.

2019 New River Art Juried Biennial was hosted by the Blacksburg Regional Art Association at The Moss Art Center in Blacksburg June 13 thru August 3, 2019. It was the most incredible location we have ever had! The juror, Emily Smith of the 1708 Gallery in Richmond, invited 64 artists to the exhibition with one artwork apiece.

Nadine Allen Gallery:
Nadine Allen was instrumental in the creation of the New River Art Juried Biennial and an incredibly productive artist. She was a member of BRAA and a very active member of the Blacksburg art scene. When she passed away in 2005, a memorial fund was established in her name. Since then, an award in her name has been presented at every New River Art Juried Biennial. Her family has graciously let us use a few digital files of her artwork.
