We The People - 2026 Annual Theme Show

BRAA members are invited to create works to coincide with the nation’s 250th anniversary. See your email from themeshow@blacksburgrt.org for full details.

  • No entry fee, and you may submit two works

  • Size limit is (unframed) 16x20”

  • Size limit applies to 3-D work

  • Works need to have been created in the last two years and be appropriately framed and gallery ready

Dropoff date range: June 23-July 1

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three judged pieces plus an honorable mention. This year’s judge is Donna Cruce Kocka of Staunton, Virginia. An oil painter, she has a BFA degree from the University of Tennessee. She taught art to children for 30 years and is now devoted to her own work. She has studied with internationally known colorist and portrait artist Cedrick Egeli in Cape Cod and also with Camille Prezwodek and John Ebersberger. She is an advocate of plein air painting.
