2019 ANNUAL MEETING SET FOR NOV. 3
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
BRAA'S annual meeting is set for Sunday, Nov. 3 from 2-4 p.m. in the Hahn Horticulture Garden Pavilion. The featured speaker will be Margaret Hancock, art and design educator for the Virginia Museum of Fine Art in Richmond. She will present "Face Value: Portraiture in American Art." This subject ranges from folk to classical and from realism to impressionism. Hancock will delve into these stylistic variances with a visual exploration of painted portraits of Americans by Americans. Works in significant portrait collections across America will be explored, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Pennsylvania Academy of Art, and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.
The speaker will be followed by refreshments and a business meeting.
Is it a bird? A plane?...No...just a luncheon presentation by Gerri in the back of the room. Everyone watching the big screen for a photo presentation of her trip to Cuba.
